Kimble the Turtle is a hiking reptile. Interestingly, turtles are reptiles, like snakes and lizards. He is has four legs and a tail, and a shell. He travels in the wood, usually on trails, in parks and in other scenic places. He believes in the Leave No Trace outdoor ethics, so he stays on the trails, traveling on durable surfaces and being careful not to trample vegetation. He is also against cutting switchbacks.

Kimble the Turtle uses a Delorme PN/60w GPS and a Spot Personal Locator to track his journeys by satellite. He uses a Nikon AW-110 camera, with WiFi and GPS built-in, to take pictures of the places he visits. Kimble has an account on geocaching.com as kimbletheturtle.
